You know that thing where you want to buy something just for yourself, but you really don’t want to talk with your partner about it because you have convinced yourself that there doesn’t need to be a conversation about every little thing we buy, even though you know that it should be a conversation because you have shared your finances together for over 20 years. Yeah, when that happens, just have the conversation about the thing you want because your partner actually cares about your desires and wants to make you happy.
